Answer:

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "When the Day of Resurrection approaches, the dreams of a believer will hardly fail to come true, and a dream of a believer is one of forty-six parts of prophetism, and whatever belongs to prothetism can never be false." Muhammad bin Sirin said, "But I say this." He said, "It used to be said, 'There are three types of dreams: The reflection of one's thoughts and experiences one has during wakefulness, what is suggested by Satan to frighten the dreamer, or glad tidings from Allah. So, if someone has a dream which he dislikes, he should not tell it to others, but get up and offer a prayer." He added, "He (Abu Huraira) hated to see a Ghul (i.e., iron collar around his neck in a dream) and people liked to see fetters (on their feet in a dream). The fetters on the feet symbolizes one's constant and firm adherence to religion." And Abu 'Abdullah said, "Ghuls (iron collars) are used only for necks." Sahih al-Bukhari [Book 87 : Volume 9 : Hadith 144 ]

Narrated Abu Salama: I used to see a dream which would make me sick till I heard Abu Qatada saying, "I too, used to see a dream which would make me sick till I heard the Prophet saying, "A good dream is from Allah, so if anyone of you saw a dream which he liked, he should not tell it to anybody except to the one whom he loves, and if he saw a dream which he disliked, then he should seek refuge with Allah from its evil and from the evil of Satan, and spit three times (on his left) and should not tell it to anybody, for it will not harm him. " Sahih al-Bukhari [Book 87 : Volume 9 : Hadith 168 ]

Thus from the above guidance of our beloved prophet Mohammad (pbuh),when ever a believer sees a good dream then that dream is from ALLAH & these good dreams are one of the bounties of our lord on a believer and the believer should be thankful to the lord of the universe, most merciful.

But when a believer sees a bad dream. Then there is no doubt that this is from shaitan & the believer should seek refuge of ALLAH.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Abu Salama ibn Abd ar-Rahman said, "I heard Abu Qatada ibn Ribiyy say that he heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, 'The good dream is from Allah, and the bad dream is from shaytan. When you see what you dislike, spit to your left side three times when you wake up, and seek refuge with Allah from its evil. It will not harm you then, Allah willing.' " Abu Salama said, "I would see dreams which weighed on me more heavily than a mountain. When I heard this hadith, I was not concerned about it." Malik muwatta [Book 52 : Hadith 52.1.4 ]

Also When a believer sees a good dream then he should not tell it to any body except his loved one & when a believer sees a bad dream then he should not tell it to any body & should ask help from Allah against shaitans & should spit 3 times to his left.

He who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft- Forgiving;- Quran[67:2]

Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, QURAN[2:155]

Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return":- QURAN[2:156]

They are those on whom (Descend) blessings from Allah, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance. QURAN[2:157]

Dear sister Allah tests every body in this world in one way or the other, and Allah wants to see, in the time of hardship will the believer be thankful & come closer to me or will turn away. Thus those who glorify Allah both in the time of hardship & in the time of ease, they are those on whom (Descend) blessings from Allah, and Mercy and they are the ones who receive guidance.

Our focus should be, what ever comes on us from Allah, we should be thankful to him, & we should always seek his help always.

On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith." QURAN [2:286]

This life is all about test. Allah has given us eyes for a test to see how we will use these eyes. Allah has given us power to talk, Allah has blessed us with a brain to test how the believer uses his brain, and Allah has given us life to test how we can utilize it in his way.

So if we use every blessing of Allah in a way that he wants us to use then we will be called as the qualifiers of the test. Regarding that you had asked Allah to test my faith, dear sister you had failed to realise that your test had started the day you where born, the best thing you should had prayed for is “O Allah give me the strength, give me the e-man, bless me with taqwa, passions, your love, so that I will be always thankful to you, & put me among those on whom Descend your blessings, Mercy “. And Allah alone responds to the supplications of beliver.
